The Woodhull facility runs a variety of schedules during peak periods to accommodate business needs. Shift schedules for this role are normally 8 hours 5 days a week with some overtime during high production demand. Required on-call work to ensure processes are running will apply to this role also.

You will be leading our group of Lab Technicians as they cover various schedules and shifts, ensuring proper training, quality control, data entry and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key contact point between Scheduling Teams and Lab activities.

  • Responsible for coordinating quality assurance tasks to meet production schedules. (Including sample distribution within the network, as well as handle various UPS/FedEx deliveries)

  • Requires cross-functional coordination at site level with lab, packaging and warehouse personnel.

  • Requires cross-functional coordination with lab, packaging, corporate quality teams, and sales providers, to investigate quality concerns.

  • We ask that all tasks be performed safely and in accordance with safety programs.

  • You work within a team environment, while being a positive representative of Corteva.

  • Various other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements:

What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

  • Associates degree or equivalent required.

  • Demonstrate a high level of scheduling and coordination skills.

  • Finger dexterity for using keyboard.

  • Primarily in an office setting with regular interaction in plant/warehouse areas.

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Prompt response even when dealing with multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Accuracy and high attention to details.

  • Ability to anticipate and promptly react to trends and communicate associated information up and down the supply chain.

  • Computer & Analytical Skills

  • Proficient MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Basic calculations

  • No relocation assistance offered for this role

The following are preferred:

  • 3-4 years of related Quality control experience in a production agriculture and/or plant operations environment.

  • Knowledge agriculture and production plant operations desired

  • Conflict management skills are preferred to provide good customer service.

  • Knowledge of process improvement tools (Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.)

  • SAP R/3 Aptitude – reporting and data entry
