The Master Planner & Scheduler will have accountability for coordinating and planning in-house production and purchased goods to ensure OTD and targeted stocking levels through use of ERP and other inventory management tools/processes. Communicate with customer service to ensure timely launch of new parts and existing items. Maintains various reporting systems to ensure that documentation is accurate and timely. Communicates with Supply Chain, Production Leadership Team, Engineering and vendors to ensure schedule adherence. Communicates demand information so that everyone is aware of volume and metrics. Creates production schedule that maximizes customer service in the minimal lead-time, for the minimum investment in inventory with the most efficient use of resources.
Specifically, the Master Scheduler/Planner will:
Plan & schedule production orders through all operations, distribution points and sub-contractors using the planning and scheduling tools available in the ERP and other systems.
Recognize CCR?s, bottlenecks and other production critical issues prior to production dates and schedules accordingly.
Ensure distribution and communication of schedules in a timely manner and that any discrepancies such as resource/materials/tooling unavailability are accounted for and covered.
Works directly with Plant Leadership Team and vendors to resolve scheduling issues.
Documents key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory and scheduling accuracy.
Receives, reviews and schedules materials in support of customer orders and/or stocking requirements via ERP and other systems/processes.
Generate forward looking schedule based on targeted start dates to satisfy OTD.
Identify schedule constraints and coordinate resolution to requested customer delivery date as necessary.
Maintain and track KPI?s to identify and prioritize process improvement initiatives.
3+ years? experience in planning / analytical function, preferably in industrial manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills, strong change agent with ability to influence and motivate others to excel.
Experience working with ERP planning systems. Specific experience in Epicor ERP system is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently and concurrently manage multiple priorities and projects.
Able to quickly assimilate new knowledge
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work with all team members equally well regardless of their position or authority.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite products (Excel)
