The Business Info Developer Consultant Sr is viewed as an expert in the development and execution of data mining analyses.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.

  • Develops very complex and varied strategic report applications from a Data Warehouse.

  • Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team. Establishes and maintains advanced knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues.

  • Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. Monitors project schedules and costs for own and other projects.

  • Develops and supports very complex Data Warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.

  • Conducts training on use of applications developed.


  • Requires a BS/BA degree;

  • 6 years’ experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Independently build and run complex queries based on complex business requirements against EDWard data warehouse and/or ODW; includes medical (institutional and professional), pharmacy, dental, vision claims, provider and member data using Teradata SQL Assistant and SAS EG is required.

  • Required solid working knowledge, experience and subject matter expertise with EDWard, ODW, tables, views, etc., is required.

  • Solid experience in Cloud/AWS, Snowflake schema is required including leading/training other staff.

  • Proficient in knowledge of SQL fundamentals advanced SQL querying.

  • Solid knowledge of SSIS, SSRS required; expertise in conversions of Access to SSIS required.

  • MS SQL Server knowledge and expertise required.

  • Proficient in SAS, and experience with other programming query languages such as Java scripting is required.

  • Proficient in Access and Excel including pivot tables, graphs, etc. required.

  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, GBD Facets, WGS, Nasco, FEP and other sources preferred.

  • Proficient in mining data to identify outliers for Fraud Waste and Abuse; ability to present findings with respect to data to the business partners.

  • Proficient in identification of data issues and anomalies, conducting independent research, UAT testing, and issue resolution process.

  • Proficient in Project Management using Agile methodology, JIRA and Confluence required.

  • Proficient in design and management of SharePoint including set up of Nintex forms, workflows, notifications, dashboards, metrics, etc. required.

  • Experience in building Tableau dashboards.

  • Ability to mentor other developers within the team and sharing knowledge and best practices from coding and data perspective.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and problem solving skills required.

  • Healthcare and claims processing knowledge and expertise preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.
