Eagle Foods, LLC Maintenance Storeroom Coordinator in Waukegan, Illinois

The Maintenance Storeroom Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire spare parts and tool room process. Manages maintenance inventory by purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing hand tools, machine tools and spare parts.Team spirit and commitment to customer service is required.

This position is responsible for managing all activities related to purchasing and inventorying of the spare parts and tool room by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

• Maintain a clean and orderly 5S storeroom

• Plan the storeroom layout for efficient order picking and inventory care

• Work closely with the planning/scheduling department

• Provide inventory reporting to finance; ensure finance approval of all stock adjustments, min/max adjustments and obsolete part write-off

• Manage process to refine and control slow moving parts as well as obsolete part removal

• Monitor min/max levels and order point information

• Manage inventories by ABC classification

• Use best practice inventory management practices

• Coordinate activities with other disciplines (purchasing, operations, management, maintenance, engineering) to ensure a high support of maintenance activities

• Provide monthly KPI reports to the maintenance manager

• Coordinate special parts orders with maintenance

• Provide reports to management such as inventory valuation reports, negative inventory reports, cycle count variances, scrap and obsolescence

• Attend maintenance and planning meetings

• Become familiar with all plant equipment and operational processes

• Maintain open lines of communication

• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for major work systems within the plant storeroom: Parts set-up, Parts replenishment, Parts issue, Parts return, Parts repair and re-stock, Parts kitting, Inventory process (Annual and Cycle Count)

• Undertake investigation and auditing of variances of key controls and measures and implement corrective actions in consultation with maintenance management

• Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school/GED with equivalent experience; Associates degree in maintenance technology, preferred.

• 5-7 years of Maintenance & Reliability experience

• 2-3 years of Maintenance MRO and non-stock purchasing experience

• Demonstrated experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) specifically with stores control

• Experience participating or coordinating the organization of stores, technical workshops or similar workplaces

• Strong Project Management skills

• Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Certification a plus

• Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge to be able to identify parts and know uses

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and oral)

• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and occasional standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting 50lbs, ability to adjust vision for close vision work. Exposure to airborne dust, high humidity and extreme heat are possible in the plant.
