Pace Analytical Services, Inc. Cleanroom Certification Field Technician in Vernon Hills, Illinois
The Pace Analytical Facilities Qualification group is hiring a Chicago-based field service technician to perform cleanroom certification testing and equipment qualification services. This exciting position offers the opportunity to certify and execute custom facility and equipment qualification protocols related to controlled environments (cleanrooms) for all industries including medical device, life science, electronics, scientific, defense, and other high tech industries.
The qualified applicant will work across the Chicago region and nationally providing testing solutions in production cleanrooms and related lab areas. Self-directed individuals with the ability to function in complex industrial and lab environments will thrive in this position. Provide on-site testing of production cleanrooms including HEPA integrity testing and ISO 14644 particle count certifications
Provide USP 797/800 pharmacy certifications including collecting microbial samples
Provide on-site equipment certification including Biological Safety Cabinets, HEPA workstations, CAI/CACI, and fume hoods
Perform on-site testing and report completion of custom Installation, Operation and Performance Qualification protocols for equipment including HVAC and cleanroom facilities, purified water systems, compressed air and gas systems, autoclaves, ovens, and other controlled environment equipment
Enterprise software data management use
GMP compliant data collection for test reports
Experience testing cleanrooms desired
Ability to understand technical drawings and manuals
Strong technical aptitude as demonstrated through work or educational experience
An eagerness and desire to learn about complex instrumentation and systems
Exceptional customer service skills
Other experience in cleanroom certification, metrology, or other related testing or technical tasks is desired
Ability to work in active construction zones as buildings are completed and started up
Valid driver's license required
25% travel nationally
Occasional weekend/night projects
Computer skills, MS Office and specialized programs
Excellent MS Word formatting ability
Good team interaction personality
High School diploma- some college or technical education helpful
2 years of post-secondary is a good target for entry-level Technical positions
Specialist level positions require a minimum of 5 years of related post-secondary education or experience (combined)
Technical writing ability
Basic math skills including geometry and algebra
Ability to work in a self-directed environment including remote collaboration
Our Instrument Support Group (ISG) allows chemists to perform hands-on work and interact directly with our clients. ISG specializes in servicing instrumentation such as GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS, IC, and Dissolution.
While the instrumentation is complex, our Instrument Support Group has an extensive training program for new employees, as well as ongoing training to maintain the capabilities of our service staff.
