Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for distributing supplies to and from patient care locations, ensuring that patient care locations have appropriate inventories to support changing patient care needs and demonstrating high levels of customer service to support patient care operations.

Ability to resolve problems effectively, and work with numbers. Strong attention to detail. Possess competence and comfort using computers and effectively demonstrates ability to work with others on the team which includes care providers. Individuals should possess the ability to work in a fast paced, flexible and physically challenging environment. Able to work independently as needed and possess a willingness to strive for excellence.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs daily physical inventory counts on the nursing floor storage carts (PAR Carts). Assists in conducting annual physical inventory.

  • Maintains stock in a clean and orderly manner on the storage carts, automated supply cabinets and in the Storeroom.

  • Acts as liaison between nursing units and Storeroom to ensure supplies are delivered, replenished and stocked on nursing units.

  • Provides recommendations for additions/deletions to existing inventory levels on the storage carts. Checks inventory for product outdates and/or expirations.

  • Performs accurate issue entries via the computer inventory program.

  • Stocks storeroom shelves and assist in other storeroom functions. Ensures storeroom shelves and PAR carts are clean and dust free.

  • Assists in the flow of supplies by notifying buyers of actual or potential shortages of supplies.

  • Assists internal customers by facilitating supply requests.
