Responsible for coordinating the activities of a large and diverse team of professionals that support the Epic Electronic Medical Record. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordination of team training and certifications, change control processes, downtime requirements, system cleanup of pended notes and data manipulation for importation. Provides administrative support for the Epic Team and the IT Director of Clinical Systems.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Associates degree in related field or two (2) years experience in the healthcare arena is a valid substitution for the associate's degree. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS None EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Progressive office management and support, project coordination, data management and other related experience will be considered. Prefer experience with EMR systems. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with ability to clearly convey information and ideas to people and groups. Solid organizational and time-management skills. Ability to analyze, coordinate, prioritize, and perform complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge as well as exercise of independent judgment. Ability to identify and understand complex issues, problems and opportunities, and determine appropriate solutions and course of action.
Coordinates Epic Team certifications, training and testing. Includes proctoring of exams and travel arrangements.
Manages Epic change control processes and meetings. Monitors incoming Internal Review Committee requests and approvals. Audits required change documentation.
Assists with downtime processes, including testing notifications, audits of completion, and downtime forms.
Assists with maintaining accuracy of EMR records, including addressing pended notes.
Manipulates data for importation into the Epic system.
Provides administrative support for the Epic EMR Team and the IT Director of Clinical Systems. This includes on boarding of new employees and office management.
Coordinates the EMR change request process, including the review, assignment and audit of requests.
Supports the Epic Training and Optimization Specialists by creating classes in PeopleFluent (LMS), scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and monitoring/ordering patient education materials.
Maintains inventory of the OneChart site content and OneChart change control.
Manages the moves and implementation of the Epic Welcome Kiosks throughout the organization.
Monitors incoming IT security requests in the AMB.Sec mailbox.
