Scot Forge is looking for Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Spring Grove, IL. The Maintenance Dept. has openings on second shift, from 2 p.m. to Midnight and third shift, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. (overtime and weekends as needed)

Responsibilities of Maintenance Mechanic:
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform technical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Perform repair with fabrication welding and torch operations as required.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on Baghouse equipment.
Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate guidelines for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Qualifications of Maintenance Mechanic:
High school diploma with 1-3 years production maintenance experience.
Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, automated systems, industrial maintenance.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Will be working in an manufacturing environment.
Temperatures in the plant can vary in winter and summer months.
Be able to be able to get into many awkward positions, bending, kneeling and crouching down.
Be able to spend at least ten hours a day on your feet.
Be able to do repetitive lifting of light weights from ground level to overhead.
Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment lift evaluation (up to 65 lbs.)
Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test today.
