Position Summary:

Scot Forge Company is looking to hire 2 Quality Interns for the summer of 2021 at the corporate facility in Spring Grove, IL. They may have to commute to the other locations in Franklin Park, IL and Clinton, WI as needed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Interns will evaluate random sampling of elements within our quality program, process, systems and practices. Interns will work with corporate managers, plant managers, supervisors and leads to identify needed areas of oversite based on risk, weakness, and desired improvement.

Quality interns will also work on document audits.

  • Develop inspection plans based on current practices

  • Inspect per plans (LPA’s, inspection reports, check lists)

  • Identify and document gaps. When applicable, correct gaps.

  • Regular report outs to managers and supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • Junior/Senior currently pursuing Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Bachelor’s degree.

  • Proficient with computers. Data base software, MS Word and MS Excel.

  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing procedures.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Will be working in an office environment with exposure to plant floor.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • Must be able to pass a 90 dayheadhair drug test today.
