Responsibilities

Operates, repairs and performs routine maintenance to ensure facilities and equipment is maintained in serviceable condition. Cleans and stores equipment in designated locations, changes oil and drains gas, ensures good working order before re-issue. Maintains cleanliness and order in the repair and storage area. Performs general maintenance of boats, campers, lawn equipment, inflatables, electric/gas powered motors, and other recreational equipment. Properly prepares power equipment for winter storage, such as draining water systems and cleaning interior. Properly prepares trailers/boats for summer use in a timely manner, i.e., checks and repairs as necessary electrical and plumbing connection/components, repacks wheel bearings, change tires and other repairs as required. Charges and stores batteries for use with campers and other recreation equipment. Establishes maintenance schedules for equipment. Monitors and maintains parts inventory levels. May collect program fees and prepare reservations/appointments. Must have practical knowledge of recreation equipment and its use. Must have skill and knowledge required for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of items, such as electric and gas powered motors and other recreational items. Binding manufacturer's certification training is desirable. Must have basic mathematic skills necessary to compute sales. Must have knowledge of Microsoft programs.
