Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Scott AFB, IL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create and design processes or experiments to test quality of products.
Work with software engineers to ensure quality is built into digital solutions.
Provide input on whether products are ready to launch.
Maintain responsibility for defining, documenting, analyzing, performing, and interpreting developmental tests for new & modified products or product components.
Recommend changes in procedures.
Operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.
Review progress with management.
Assisting in designing, developing, coordinating, and maintaining all aspects of the delivery of solutions for an established mobility system.
Partnering with the stakeholders to achieve mission priorities through innovation critical thinking, collaboration, and proactive risk management.
Testing and tuning software solutions on a regular basis to identify and remedy issues.
Assisting in developing, implementing, and testing software solutions.
Partnering with customers to gather requirements through understanding of customer users’ data/analytics needs and challenges.
Maintaining and ensuring availability of software across multiple production and development environments.
Maintaining security and integrity controls and formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to quality assurance.
Supporting the implementation of all required security updates as directed by applicable STIGs.
Proactively identifying and communicating issues, risks, progress to customer, contractor team, and IT stakeholders, providing options and next steps.
Assisting in updating informal and formal documentation and software architecture products. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field—comparable experience in DOD logistics and/or mission planning as a US Airforce pilot regarded as a positive
9 years' experience equivalent to any combination of education/experience
1+ yrs. experience testing or developing software applications
1+ yrs. experience with technologies
Experience with testing analytical functions in Cloud-based architectures
Experience with Web Service or automated testing a plus
Experience with test methodologies, QA process, software release cycle, test effort estimation, and tracking
Knowledge of Agile development
Knowledge of government practices
Knowledge of operating systems and networking, release procedures, and software defect tracking
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Work experience in systems design, programming and systems software and support
Work is remote, but candidates local to the Scott AFB/St. Louis area preferred; strong remote candidates will be given consideration
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices and secure software development.

Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II satisfying certification
Previous experience supporting Cyber Security Mitigation
Experience contributing as part of an Agile development team
Red Hat Linux
Knowledge of Perl is a plus
Experience with Docker containers and microservices in the Cloud is a plus
Experience with Kubernetes a plus
.NET Core a plus
Oracle 12g, 19C
SQLServer 2012, 2019
Experience in DoD logistics and especially SMS (Single Mobility System) a significant plus Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Public Trust or more preferably an Active DoD issued Secret or higher Security Clearance. Physical Requirements:
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
