Aerotek Entry Level Chemical Operator in Sauget, Illinois
Aerotek Scientific is currently seeking qualified Entry Level Chemical Operator opportunities. Candidates need to be open to all shifts and a 2 on 2 off 3 on 3 off schedule.
These are entry level chemical operating opportunities that will move up and advance into higher level operator roles. Eventually will get training on on all the functionalities on the reactors. They operator several units while on shift and train other B/C operators. We’ve summarized all categories to the “chemical operator”
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports ISO standards, environmental and quality programs.
Staging of raw materials for upcoming batches.
Loading of hoppers, weigh tanks and reactors.
Learning and performing proper disposal of all empty raw material containers.
Cleaning the 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor reactor areas, control rooms #1 and #2 and the lunchrooms.
Learning all raw materials used in the batches, the proper storage locations, and safe handling procedures and techniques.
Learn reactor set-up, check cut procedures and become familiar with all of the batch processes.
Learn and follow all safety procedures and waste handling procedures.
Ensures that all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed.
Performs other duties as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
High school or equivalent experience within production/manufacturing
Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
