Title: Project Manager

Location: Round Lake, IL

Duration: 6 months Shift: Monday – Friday / 8:00am – 5:00pm

Project Manager

  • The Project Manager Supply Chain provides business and technical leadership at Takeda’s Round Lake, Illinois manufacturing facility for the Infor Advanced Scheduling and Planning solution, including key Supply Chain production planning process improvements.

  • Accountable for developing and maintaining detailed production plan for different manufacturing process steps while balancing plant capacity, efficiency.


  • Provides support for project phases, process development, project execution and transition into production by working with the local Manufacturing, Finance and Supply Chain teams and Infor project leads

  • Anticipates and resolves conflict situations with a win-win outcome

  • Develops informal cross-functional team to support change / projects if necessary

  • Lead Infor system data validation, and user training

  • Coordinate Infor supply chain vault data upload, maintenance and distribution

  • Leads discussions in order to resolve issues and risks

  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Responsible for performance and oversight of product portfolio supporting Flexbumin® supply, streamlined production planning processes for speed and profitability

  • Develop detailed production plan for different production step(s) in alignment with master production schedule (MPS) and/or allocation plan by factoring in plant capacity and efficiency and communicate to manufacturing operations to ensure alignment

  • Identify gaps in process alignment, recommend best practices, and orchestrate the future state design satisfying all stakeholders across the organization

  • Provides clear direction on requirements to meet expectations of customers and stakeholders

  • Develop annual production budget/ forecast models

  • Provide production volume for financial forecast/ budget

  • Collect, analyze, create/update, and report key supply chain business metrics (i.e. MPS/Lead time) on a required frequency.

  • Analyze and communicate plant capacity to master planner(s) and/or global supply analyst(s), manage product conversions, and/or new production introductions independently.

  • Provides strategic support for project phases, process development, project execution and transition into production by working with the local and Global IT, Manufacturing, Finance and Supply Chain teams

  • Anticipates and resolves conflict situations with a win-win outcome

  • Leads discussions in order to resolve issues and risks

Required Education / Experience

  • B.A./B.Sc. in Engineering/Science/Business Administration/Supply Chain or an equivalent field or experience

  • 5+ years of related experience preferred; 2+ years of Supply Chain experience required

  • Experience with integrated ERP systems, and Advanced Planning tools

Required Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of Supply Chain, Demand & Supply Planning, must have knowledge of such principles as GMPs, FDA guidelines

  • Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously

  • Must demonstrate strategic leadership and strong financial acumen

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and Excel and Power BI

  • Demonstrated success in leading without authority

  • Display ability to communicate effectively using a wide variety of skills and vehicles

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is preferred

  • Must NOT be allergic to cephalosporin drugs

Top 3 Qualities in a Candidate

  • Supply Chain background with experience in demand planning / capacity planning / production planning

  • Project management experience

  • Advanced knowledge in Excel; looking for somebody who can build files and spreadsheets.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 lbs.

  • In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the manufacturing facility

Working Environment

  • General office environment, must be able to work hours necessary to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility indoor working conditions
