Position Description:

Position Summary:

The Location Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for projects and initiatives related to location intelligence and mapping, utilizing the Esri software suite in an Enterprise environment. The Analyst will visualize big data, help manage the platform, and will communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of teams across the organization.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Complete Location Intelligence related projects and assignments using the Esri Enterprise suite of tools.

  • Create static maps, dynamic web maps and apps to be used by various users across the organization.

  • Create, develop, and lead advanced, high priority GIS projects and assist with ad hoc analysis.

  • Provide analytical support related to assigned projects including data preparation, cartography, statistics, interpretation, and presentation.

  • Extract, clean, and organize large amounts of data from Business Intelligence platforms and external data sources for use in GIS.

  • Identify and escalate GIS technical issues or anomalies to IT support and Esri Technical Services.

  • Provide training and support to end-users in various functions across the organization.

  • Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geomatics, or Computer Science with a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

  • 2+ years’ work experience with the Esri software suite, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.

  • Working knowledge of geospatial analytics techniques, protocols, methodologies, and mathematics including network analysis, statistical modeling, coordinate systems and projections, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) with ability to document workflows.

  • Understanding of geodatabase structure, data management, and data relationship modeling, including in an Enterprise environment.

  • Understanding of geographic data acquisition, collection, processing, and analysis.

  • Experience with UX-focused cartographic techniques for clear and attractive presentation in static maps and dynamic web maps/apps.

  • Understanding of programming language techniques related to GIS (e.g. SQL, Python, Arcade queries).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and interpret technical information effectively, both verbally and in writing; solid presentation skills.

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence systems such as PowerBI or similar.

  • Strong research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to piece together disparate information from many sources.

  • Ability to organize work tasks and work independently or as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced programming knowledge.

  • Experience with beer industry data and information.

  • GISP Certification.
