Position Summary:
The Data Integration Specialist is responsible for participating in the design and coordination of various data integration processes across multiple functional areas and business lines. The position acts as liaison with the business, and translates internal and external business requirements into technical specifications that are then developed. This role also serves as primary initial responder in identifying issues, troubleshooting/correlating issues, assessing impact, and coordinating resolution, and engaging resolution groups for troubleshooting; drives efficient resolution of issues.
Essential duties include:
Troubleshoot errors in data integrations and processes (batch file and API)
Engage resolution groups for troubleshooting
Quantify scope and impact of identified issues
Ensure issues and resolution are tracked through ticket system
Thoroughly documents proposed solutions and identified issues
Modify or create data integration configurations to support business needs
Derives requirements and specifications from business needs and coordinates the technical solution and timing of delivery of the solution with development resources
Coordinate with multiple teams to deploy new or changed systems to the production environment according to documented change management procedures
Maintain up-to-date documentation including tracking logs, data integration mapping documents, and training materials for new solutions or changes to existing solutions
Execute some routine tasks on regular basis, which can include data imports and executing SSIS packages, also provides support for the Data Operations coordinators during peak times
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma
3 or more years related experience required
Technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills a must
Experience with various data integration methods and software (Adeptia preferred)
Microsoft SQL. Data manipulation, data integration design and development including T-SQL
Experience with troubleshooting API data integrations using Postman or similar tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional
Capability to work from home (Requires Internet connection).
Desired:
Familiarity with data security best practices
Ability to translate technical information into business language
Experience in working with off-shore resources in various functions and capacities
Experience in a NOC or IT operations environment a plus
