Position Title: Commercial Quality Inspector 1

Shift: 3rd Shift

Reporting To: Supervisor, Quality

Responsible For (Staff): None

Performs and documents quality inspection activities of products at various stages of production. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


  • Performs and documents quality inspection activities of products at various stages of production including, in-process and finished goods inspections.

  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production.

  • Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process.

  • Perform in-process and finished goods inspections as required.

  • Interprets formula's to arrive at specified quality and reliability standards.

  • Sets up and performs tests on materials or products to measure material characteristics.

  • Records test data, using statistical quality control procedures.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations or before groups of customers or employees

  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
