Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Rockford, Illinois


The Maintenance Mechanic will perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment changeovers. They will also troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems when needed. Maintain proper records for maintenance, inventory of parts, and perform emergency repairs. Candidates in this position will be performing maintenance on Injection Molding machines, Injection Blow molders, compressors, and conveyors. They also have robotic palletizing systems that the Maintenance Mechanic will work on.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment to meet or exceed company established Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) expectations and customer quality expectations.

Proactive in addressing inefficiencies of production equipment.

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment including power and control wiring, motors, controls, electronic devices, and building electrical maintenance.

Troubleshoots PLC and other electronic systems. Able to troubleshoot and program machine logic systems.

Reads and interprets schematics, parts manuals, blueprints, sketches, hydraulic diagrams, and machine manuals.

Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and process problems with equipment as needed or directed by Maintenance Manager.

Perform scheduled production equipment mold changeovers as outlined by Maintenance Manager or Production Manager.

Perform building maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager.

Maintain sufficient records to support the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (EAM) including work orders and parts management.
