Blessing Hospital BIOMEDICAL TECHNICIAN - II in QUINCY, Illinois

JOB SUMMARY

Denman Biomedical Services supports the medical equipment at hospitals, clinics, doctor/dentist offices, physical therapies, fire/ambulance districts, nursing homes, correctional facilities, etc within a 3-4 hour radius of Quincy, IL. This position is responsible for performing repair, calibration, electrical safety/performance tests and preventive maintenance on medical equipment, instrumentation and life support systems of basic and moderate complexity used in healthcare delivery as well as other related duties in support of the Biomedical Operations. Assist medical and nursing staff in the use of equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Must possess good electronic knowledge as well as a good mechanical/pneumatic skill sets.

  • Troubleshooting and repair of basic, complex and life support medical equipment.

  • Perform electrical safety and performance verification tests on a large variety of medical equipment.

  • Attend manufacturer technical training schools and pass certification examinations.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Be able to work individually and travel to sites outside Quincy.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

PREFERRED:

• Valid Drivers License

Pay Status:

• NON-EXEMPT HOURLY
