We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team in Oswego, IL.

Diagnoses malfunctioning components, systems and apparatus using testing tools and equipment.
Has a working knowledge of mechanical design and electrical systems using blueprints and schematics.
Follows all safety practices and procedures.
Inspects electrical components to identify defects, hazards, or needed repairs or adjustments to ensure codes are met.
Informs supervisor of potential hazards and recommends corrective solutions.
Follows blueprints or prepared outlines to find the location of equipment and wiring.
Plans layout to install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment based on the local codes and job specifications.
Maintains files and records, ordering equipment and supplies and preparing reports as required.
Replaces or repairs wiring, fixtures, or components using power tools and hand tools.
Provides cost estimates and preliminary sketches for projects and materials.
Other duties required to meet company needs as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
Ability to communicate read and write in English.
Ability to perform basic math.
Familiarity with the use of hand tools.
Ability to use various measuring instruments including digital calipers and micrometers.
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
Ability to read a blueprint.
Experience and Education:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an electrician
High School Diploma or GED, vocational maintenance training.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Essential Physical Requirements:
20/20 vision required with or without correction.
Ability to use hands 100% of the workday.
Ability to stand and or walk 100% of the workday.
Ability to bend, stoop or twist 50% of the workday.
Ability to exert physical force to push, pull, lift or carry 70 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work in shop environment - continuous exposure to metal working machinery and equipment, loud noises, dust, oils and solvents.
