NOTE: each person will work weekends
Day in the Life: Staff the “help desk” for Rasmussen College. Hires employees to help them answer student calls related to the start of a new quarter.
Some questions might be:
“I can’t get my class schedule to show up” so the answer might be ‘Let’s look to see if you signed up the right way.”
They have their help desk scripted like a drivethru menu. When someone calls in (because almost all calls are the same), you pick from a menu of what the issue could be and select it. You’re then prompted to the next question to ask to narrow down the solution.
In a given day, the tech will answer 30-50 calls a day.
Skill set needed: Someone who is tech savvy enough to navigate an online bank account, common sense, tech savvy.
