Ameresco's Central Region has a new opportunity for an Engineering Assistant (Intern) to join the Performance Assurance Team.


Collaborate with engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities;

Provide assistance with engineering assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retro-fit analysis;

Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems;

Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency;

Analyze and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems;

Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures;

Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review;

Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases and Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Sophomore, Junior or Senior level student pursuing Bachelor Degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Energy Efficiency, and/or Renewable Technology preferred) OR Master of Energy Engineering candidate.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.

Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
