UL, LLC Intern - Information Technology (Part-Time/Full-Time) in Northbrook, Illinois

As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for an Information Technology Intern with a focus on helpdesk and IT support to join our team in Northbrook, IL.

What you’ll learn & achieve:

  • Primary role of upgrading Systems - New Hire, Refresh and Lab configuration to Windows 10/Office 2016.

  • Log details of support provided in the service desk trouble-ticketing system, which includes maintaining the IT inventory database.

  • Supports and maintains Personal Computer (PC) operations including the diagnosis of hardware or software failure.

  • Maintains hardware and software in compliance with corporate standards. Acts as the liaison with vendors to repair or replace hardware.

  • Supports help-desk function for internal and remote users.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products and Office 365.

  • Support Apple devices and Android devices.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Information Technology or a related discipline

  • Ability to work onsite in the Northbrook, IL office

  • Identifying and developing missing workflows/processes

  • Passionate about technology and a desire to focus on IT end user satisfaction

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identity and resolve problems
