Day-to-Day Role:
Provide preventative maintenance checks and services
Provide general maintenance and repairs of vehicles to include trailers, cars, and pickups
Provide maintenance and repair activities on brake-systems, electrical systems, and other components of auto vehicles
Change oil and other fluids, grease, inspect, and perform other maintenance and repairs to ensure efficient operation of fleet vehicles
Road test vehicles and perform diagnostic tests
Maintain "work orders" and other logs in order to track vehicle history
Service and repair trailers
Maintain and repair trailer tires
Maintain a clean work area and general housekeeping throughout the garage
Travel locally to pick up parts and supplies
Fill in as spotter when needed
Core Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
One (1) year of mechanical experience working with trailers and auto repair
Mechanical aptitude to include familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welders, grinders, air and hydraulic jacks, tire repair equipment, and etc.
Ability to provide own tools as listed on the "Garage and Boiler Room Basic Tools" list
Basic computer skills
Valid driver's license preferred
Truck manufacturer's seminar or course work preferred
