We have a great new opportunity for an experienced IT professional to provide technical expertise and leadership in application architecture, design, development and management for Shure’s business software applications!
This role is a hands-on management role responsible for integrating our ERP-SAP applications with new business applications, emerging technologies and application architectures to support and fulfill the needs for Shure’s strategic plans and digital transformation. Also provides technical oversight, design review and development review for Shure’s applications. Responsible for seeking innovative and effective solutions for Shure’s needs on the cloud, hybrid and on premise for various integration scenarios and applications. Works directly with users, business analysts and other IT team members to understand requirements, assess needs and recommend solutions in a cross-functional manner. Manages team members to deliver innovative solutions and design for various needs and applications based on Shure’s IT and business roadmap.
Manages architecture, design and development of new software applications.
Manages, designs, builds and supports various integration scenarios between on premise, cloud and hybrid applications.
Builds relationships and increases collaboration within IT team to build solutions across landscapes and applications.
Plans, designs and builds integrations with SAP ERP and CRM systems and Salesforce through middleware platform Boomi.
Identifies key interactions and dependencies across separate systems and platforms to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets.
Provides technical leadership and is responsible for helping to establish the direction for the IT architecture, standards, design and implementation approaches for the Company’s application systems, infrastructure and/or network-based cloud product systems.
Leads or contributes to the creation, evaluation, and implementation of plans and design proposals for leading edge technology high impact IT solutions that fit Shure’s growth and roadmap plans considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations and criticality.
Develops high-level framework that align an organizations IT infrastructure with business processes/data to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations.
Explores and builds solutions, applications and integration across functional areas spanning cloud, on premise and hybrid architectures.
Provides technical and strategic direction to business groups to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
Develops or contributes to cost benefit analysis to determine financial, operational and technical feasibility of adopting external cloud, enterprise, and hybrid based platform and infrastructure services.
Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
Leads or contributes to designs, applied to all aspects of business systems and/or infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation
Provides oversight of design, development, performance validation and testing methodologies to ensure technical solutions meet quality requirements.
Acts as liaison between the new technologies team and the rest of the IT organization. Builds proactive, responsive relationships with IT team members to ensure alignment of solutions with the on premise Application, Infrastructure and Digital teams.
Designs, develops, and implements solutions across the application landscape leveraging reuse as is appropriate. Primary advocate for the appropriate use of development, customization and related best practices.
Provides consistent level of service and problem resolution.
Oversees quality management (including design and development reviews), change control, and release/transport management.
Identifies and evaluates alternate technical solutions and provides recommendations for the use of new and existing technologies.
Works closely with the management team to enhance application capabilities, improve processes and procedures, and institutionalize good application life cycle practices.
Prepares system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
Manages work efforts of team members and provides mentorship and guidance to encourage success and growth.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of wide-ranging experience with a minimum of 2+ years of management experience in application architecture, design and development with responsibility for results, including costs and methods.
Experience in application development in technologies such as SAP applications and other SaaS based application
Experience in web applications integrations
Expertise in services and API design and build using SOAP and REST specifications
Demonstrated experience with leading cross-functional, cooperative efforts with team members across divisions preferred.
International experience at a global electronics manufacturing company a plus including experience providing global IT support.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
Demonstrated experience in determining the best use of resources to meet goals of assignments received in the form of objectives.
Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams.
Able to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Able to develop and administer schedules and establish performance requirements
Able to provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
Experience with advising subordinates how to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
