The electronic data interchange (EDI) coordinator’s main objective is to support the Customer Service Teams as well as the Trading Partners with the daily EDI issues including purchase order, Invoice and ASN errors. This position works with a cross-functional team to research issues, make the necessary corrections and proactively suggest system or process updates to eliminate future issues. They will assist in the maintenance of all EDI formal documentation (SOP’s/Standard Operating Procedures) as indicated by the Manager as well as maintaining the EDI Customer profile database.
Manage daily EDI reports and send email communication regarding any errors with the suggested resolution and follow up for closure.
Assist with the research and correction of EDI orders, invoices and ASN errors, monitor for missing EDI transactions, and work with the customer or customer service for resolution.
Assist the EDI Coordinator/Manager and IT project lead with EDI map set ups/changes and testing (based on customer requirements).
Create/run reports as needed.
Assist in the maintenance of all EDI formal documentation and EDI profiles. May assist in writing new documentation to support process or system changes
provide backup to the larger team as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
High School Diploma
2-3 years’ experience in EDI role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Some experience in an EDI role or experience in a related field
Knowledge of EDI Standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Understands operations and warehouse functions and logistics
Strong communication and organizational skills required
Proficiency in an AS 400 environment
Excellent problem resolution skills
Interpersonal skills and Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to collaborate with others in a project setting and is accountable for deliverables
Physical Demands/Work Requirements:
Professional office environment. This role is sedentary in nature and requires the ability to be seated at a desk for majority of the work day.
Ability to routinely use standard office equipment such as laptop computers, computer monitors/keyboards, photocopiers and telephones.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
