Title: Senior Software Engineer, Data Governance - 68203

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, for the John Deere Enterprise Data Governance Center Product (Moline), you will provide technical leadership for the delivery of the high value data catalog for all data citizens to access. In addition, you will:

  • Provide expertise to resolve critical, complex technical issues around Data, Replication and Upgrades

  • Be responsible to review product team use cases to determine impacts, effort, and coordinate with other impacted teams to help the product team, build and deploy business solutions.

  • Maintain supplier relationships to understand roadmaps and how new features/capabilities can enhance our capabilities for the Data Governance Center tooling

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • 2 or more years of understanding of computer technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development

  • 4 or more years of foundational technical aptitude related to applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints in order to understand and resolve technical impediments

  • 1 or more years of proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • 1 or more years of proven deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles, such as: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • 2 or more years of experience working directly with SaaS provided; such as: Data Governance Center tools or experience with Java, Python, Groovy Script, Mule ESB, and Jenkins, in developing technologies and integrating with other platforms

  • 3 or more years of demonstrated experience in Database Administration, relations database and NoSQL database

  • 1 or more years of demonstrated experience working with AWS Cloud Infrastructure

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies, Product Knowledge

  • Capable of collaborating with other team members to ensure that features meet business needs (e.g. 2 or more years in a software analyst role)

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience working in a team environment within minimal supervision; team-oriented

  • Eager to develop both his/her own skills and those of others

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Capable of collaborating with other team members to ensure that features meet business needs (e.g. 2 or more years in a software analyst role)

  • 2 or more years of demonstrated UX design experiences

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting coding errors related to Node J, React JS, XML, JavaScript, shell scripting, RESTful Web Services and HTML

  • Amazon Web Services Certifications

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
