Title: Senior Information Security Engineer - 72217

As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will enable delivery teams to build security into their products and services. This includes providing services (e.g. reviews, consulting, and coaching) and leading development of solutions (e.g. playbooks, runbooks, tools) that help teams understand and implement security requirements. To accomplish this, you will;

  • Partner across IT to define and enable security practices leveraging DevSecOps principles; including automating security testing in the CI/CD pipeline and identifying other opportunities to provide easy-to-implement security solutions for teams

  • Proactively engage with delivery teams to grow their knowledge of security practices using methods such as CoPs, Demos, Yammer, and training

  • Apply systems engineering skills to lead development and delivery of solutions (e.g. security testing tools) that meet quality, security, delivery and cost standards

  • Partner with other Global IT Security SMEs to keep security standards and guidelines up to date, incorporate those into the SbD process via documentation, reviews, tests, etc., and create new standards and guidelines as threats and technology solutions evolve

  • Manage service delivery staffed by a strategic supplier for the successful and timely completion of support & requests as well as large or strategic projects which are generally of high complexity in nature or scope

  • Day-to-day support activities to maintain compliance, availability, supplier relationship, & architectural design responsibility leveraging sophisticated risk management and communication skills to complete tasks on time and in alignment with budget forecast

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • Expertise in anti-virus software, intrusion detection, firewalls and content filtering (3+ years across multiple of these)

  • Foundational technical aptitude related to Cloud computing – the risks and benefits of using a vendor’s remote servers to store, manage and process an organization’s data (3+ years)

  • Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment (1+ years)

  • Expertise in designing secure networks, systems and application architectures (3+ years)

  • System administration, supporting multiple platforms and applications (5+ years)

  • Understanding of ISO27001 assessment – specifications for a framework of policies and procedures (2+ years)

  • 2 + years of experience managing endpoint security solutions, including file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention

  • Experience automating security testing tools

  • Deep understanding of Disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple technical and business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience as a work lead providing technical coaching and mentoring to others

  • Proven strong leadership skill and experience, influence effectively, ability to resolve impediments in a timely manner

  • Learning Agility / Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application

  • 5+ years in an information security engineer role

  • Knowledge of analysis practices for role specific security functions, processes, and procedures as well as a foundation in the NIST Cyber Security Framework

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or similar work experience
