Function: Product Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student-Enterprise Materials-Intelligent Solutions Group-Moline IL - 72115
Support additive manufacturing operations by preparing models for printing, setting up machines and post processing prints
Prepare quality control samples and report data in a centralized system
Run guided experiments on 3d printing machines and materials
Assist additive manufacturing engineers through basic engineering and modeling for additive manufacturing applications
Support Metallurgy and Polymer Lab in material characterization using analytical equipment
Help with reports and data analysis of lab experimental data
Literature review of new technologies/materials
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university (St Ambrose, Augustana, Western, etc)
If currently attending a community college must plan to pursue a 4-year degree
Graduation date of May 2023 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Must be able to commute to the work location on an as needed basis
16-20 hours/week during the academic year
35-40 hours/week during the summer semester

Experience using 3D printing technologies

High level of mechanical aptitude
Background or coursework in materials (metals or polymers)
