Title: Senior Software Engineer - 71292

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer at John Deere, you will work on a product team and leads product design by providing technical leadership; in addition to planning, coordinating, coding and testing - to deliver functionality of a complicated nature on the complete product or products it supports. This role designs significantly more complex parts of a system independently. In addition, you will;

• Provide coaching and mentoring to others within the technical discipline

• Be recognized as a technical advisor in the solution of complex problems; develop creative functionality and provide solutions to complex problems by identifying and organizing necessary resources

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

• Proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Integration, Interfaces, and APIs, or Java web development, or Mainframe development integrating to external solutions leveraging change management (8+ years across multiple of these)

• Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints (8+ years)

• Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment (7+ years)

• Proven deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (7+ years)

• Deep experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure (4+ years)

• Working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures (4+ years)

• Proven experience delivering interfaces and APIs using SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration), MuleSoft, MQSeries, or similar (3+ years)

• Working understanding of Interface and API Design patterns (3+ years)

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

• Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

• Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

• Proven experience as a work lead providing technical coaching and mentoring to others

• Proven strong leadership skill and experience, influence effectively, ability to resolve impediments in a timely manner

• Learning Agility / Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application

• Growth mindset - willingness to deal and thrive in uncertainty

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
