Group O IT Help Desk Technician in Milan, Illinois

Group O has an immediate need for a IT Help Desk Technician. This position will be responsible for maintaining support for hardware, software, inventory, and other IT related technologies.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Day to day support of end users, hardware, software, peripherals, and various IT and non IT related tasks.

  • Accountable to SLA’s and quality of service standards.

  • First point of contact for end user PC and telephony issues.

  • Troubleshoot network related issues for end user equipment.

  • Solve end-user problems utilizing phone and remote control software.

  • Account maintenance of Active Directory user accounts.

  • Installing, reloading, and troubleshooting Windows 7 operating system and applications.

  • Installation and maintenance of laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.

  • Add, move, and change end user equipment

The ideal candidate will have an intermediate working knowledge of PC’s and associated hardware along with basic networking and troubleshooting skills. Other requirements include:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Help Desk or similar role.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and technical ability.

  • Intermediate IT knowledge – PCs, networking, printers and peripherals.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Data entry skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
