Material Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for supplier specific material planning.

  • Expedite material shortages and provide purchasing support.

  • Generate supplier trackers for hot components.

  • Monitor supplier performance for on time delivery.

  • Manage material support for product launch activities.

  • Monitor supplier capacity analysis.

  • Reduce RAW material on hand for every month end.

  • Resolve price and quantity discrepancies on inbound receipts.

  • Reduce inbound/outbound premium freight.

  • Address carrier delivery issues for inbound/outbound material.

  • Act as Liaison between Materials group and off-site warehouses.

  • Attend morning production meetings.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Maintain SAP data relevant to production scheduling and material planning (Scheduling Agreements, Part Parameter Master Data, etc.)

  • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to schedule prototype and pre-production builds.

  • Continuously review product/processes to identify potential opportunities for improvements within material planning.

  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/SKILLS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & V-lookup).

  • Associates degree with one year experience in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management; or a high school diploma with a minimum of four years in production/supplier planning and purchasing/supply chain management

  • Automotive industry experience.

  • Experience using SAP.

  • APICS certification is a plus.

  • Exceptional data entry skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
