Impact Networking Systems Engineer in Lake Forest, Illinois
Impact is looking to add a Systems Engineer for our nationally ranked Best and Brightest Workplace!
Impact Networking is looking for a talented Systems Engineer to manage our company's cloud architecture and position in cloud environments. This Engineer will play a strategic role in maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, and management networks.
In this role the ideal candidate will manage and administer the cloud presence and hybrid infrastructure to lead the continual change for cloud integration. This engineer will have an excellent understanding of Microsoft Azure and other cloud providers to work closely with the rest of the IT Department in developing a cohesive strategy for effective data and process management.
Building out, implementing, and managing both development and production cloud environments - including Azure cloud computing, Azure Storage and Office 365 productivity environments.
Develop scripts to automate the deployment of resource stacks and associated configurations. Automating these cloud tasks that can be instrumented and conducted programmatically so that human delays and mistakes do not impact the speed and agility of cloud benefits.
Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management.
Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across a variety of disparate areas within the organization. These areas include (but are not limited to): Application development, Data management, analytics, and protection, Enterprise management, Governance, Identity, and access management (IAM), Infrastructure, Security, privacy, and compliance, and user experience.
Develop a methodology for ordering and provisioning repetitive cloud services either through internal tools/processes or by leveraging external provider's tools/processes.
The Systems Engineer must work closely with the development team, IT leaders and other department leaders to understand their process and ensure that structure and cloud changes are focused within the strategic and transformational vision of the company.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
Extensive working experience with Microsoft Azure offerings
7 + years of experience as a full time IT Professional
3+ years advanced Microsoft Azure Cloud Systems expertise; design, deploy, manage, maintain.
Experience as a team lead preferred
Deep experience with the Microsoft Azure platform - ARM templates, DevOps, Azure Operations Management Suite, Azure Network Security Groups, and other Microsoft IaaS / PaaS offerings.
Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies
Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory, as well as SSO
Experience with Identity and Access Management, Virtual Desktops and Applications, Unified End Point Management (MDM / UEM / MAM / EMM), SaaS / PaaS / IaaS transformation, Cloud management system, microservices, and/or scalable multi-tenant distributed systems is a plus.
Deep experience with the Microsoft Azure platform - ARM templates, DevOps, Azure Operations Management Suite, Azure Network Security Groups, and other Microsoft IaaS / PaaS offerings.
