Kelly Services Production Supervisor in Kankee, Illinois

Every day, Kelly Scientific Resources connects scientific professionals with opportunities to advance their careers, and we currently have a contract-to-hire opening for a Production Supervisor near Kankakee, IL.


  • Ensure compliance to cGMPs in manufacturing

  • Establish adequate coverage to support the manufacturing schedule

  • Monitor, review and complete manufacturing procedures and log books

  • Enforce plant and department policies and procedures

  • Conduct weekly communication/training meetings

  • Collect all data to support discrepancies

  • Media preparation, fermentation, cell culture, buffer preparation, purification and aseptic operations

  • Autoclave work – glassware and components; cleans, sterilizes, batches, and monitors tanks and fermenters; operates filtration; fill-finish and liquid chromatography equipment

  • Operates computers for process control and data entry

  • Follows SOPs


  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Technical discipline

  • Ability to lead

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Manufacturing process knowledge

  • Aseptic/clean room experience preferred

Shift 3pm-11pm

  • Training will be on 1st shift for the first month.

  • Overtime - eventually, will need to work occasional weekends - about 1-2 weekends/month


Pay rate: $20/hr

Position is starting out project based for seasonal demand. Project may run longer - could go into spring/summer or could turn into a permanent position.
