General Summary

The Product & Service Lines Specialist III is responsible for supporting the Product & Service Lines (P&SL) strategies of standardizing execution, improving commercial performance and managing the product-service lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions

· Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern

· Supports the overall strategic vision of the P&SL’s, including:

Standardized execution by

· Supporting safety and quality standards

· Leading deployment of, and supporting standard process, procedure and technical applications

· Developing and enforcing equipment standards, calibration and maintenance

· Analyzing large consumable purchases and CAPEX to make recommendations on improved purchasing strategies

· Developing and performing technical training and certifications

· Performing field audits and competency development

· Supporting critical job review

Improved commercial performance by

· Supporting key performance indicators (KPI’s)

· Reviewing and enforcing pricing and margins

· Reviewing win/loss/pending tracking and analysis

· Supporting job walks, quotes and bid support

· Supporting commercial training

· Supporting competitive analysis

· Identifying market opportunities for higher level collaboration

· Supporting industry representation and influence

· Providing technical expertise in support of divisional sales and profitability efforts

Managed Product Lifecycle by

· Performing application and incident technical support

· Performing risk identification and mapping

· Performing digitization and improved decision making

· Supporting lean / agile processes

· Supporting ideation / innovation and new technologies

· Recommending acquisitions and strategic alliances

· Being the voice of the customer

· Manages the performance of his/her immediate and extended teams by

· Influencing and leading P&SLM’s, P&SLS’ and SME’s

· Establishing individual performance objectives

· Defining tasks and projects to the staff

· Supporting training needs and coaching

· Leading technical sales conversations with current and prospective customers

Job Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required, technical school or college credits preferred

· Bachelor or Associates Degree in Engineering or related field preferred

· Military experience with mechanical, instrument, electrical or computer application training and experience; or two (2) years’ experience in an apprentice program in the areas listed above; or Trade School Degree in an industrially related field; or a similar Associates Degree; or three (3) or more years' experience in industrial operations or maintenance

· Seven (7)+ years’ service line experience

· Previous supervisory or training experience preferred

· Strong written and spoken communication skills

· Strong computer skills, (Email, Word, Excel, Power Point)

· Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice

· Ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines

· Ability to work under extreme pressure, tight deadlines and constantly shifting priorities due to changes to the original schedule

· Ability to manage multiple client relationships and develop win - win outcomes with customers

· Experience working on, supervising or managing field projects

· Demonstrated specialized technical knowledge in specific P&SL(s)/discipline

· Knowledge of Safety, Quality, Financial, Environmental, and Regulatory requirements

· Experience reviewing models, P&IDs, Isometrics and other engineering drawings

· Travel requirement up to 50%

Work Conditions

· Position can be located in either Joliet, Illinois or Benicia, California.

· Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting

· Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

· After hours and weekend support is customary with this role

Physical and Mental Requirements

· Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
