Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

About the Role:

As an Engineering program manager, you will own and drive initiatives across the organization that is passionate about next-generation work. You will join a high profile, Agile team that works across Oracle to tackle complex problems. We partner primarily with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and SaaS Product teams. We have a mentality of accountability even when it’s not our responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Apply project management subject area to define scope, develop plans, document requirements and prioritize cross-functional projects

• Be proficient in project management fundamentals such as sprints, schedules, scope, backlog, and risk/issue management

• Track and drive the activities of project teams to ensure quality and timeliness of execution

• Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, advising changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms

• Tactically handle internal critical issues among project teams and horizontals

• Provide leadership within the project team with the intent of developing strategies and technical solutions of high business value

• Build and develop cross-team relationships

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

• 5 years of project/program experience

• Experience with Scrum, Lean and other agile practices and methodologies

• Successful collaboration skills and tools that focus on earning trust with distributed teams

• Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities

• Proven communication skills: written, verbal, presentations

• Self-driven, analytical, and results-oriented with shown sound judgment

• Experience leading software and/or hardware development
