You will:
Work one of our three shifts, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime throughout the week and/or on Saturdays
1st shift: 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. 2nd shift: 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. 3rd shift: 10 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Work in a plant with machine noise and lift truck traffic with temperatures that vary be season
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and tasks
Conduct corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities per Total Productive Maintenance requirements
Be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, sit, bend, lift, and reach with hands and arms
You should:
Have earned at least a High School diploma, or equivalent
Have a minimum of two (2) years experience in the multi-skilled repair of production equipment
Be able to utilize electrical testing devices, such as digital multi-meter or oscilloscope
Have strong English communication skills (read, write, and speak)
Be able to read, analyze, and interpret data to drive corrective action
Know how to conduct root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Have knowledge of safe work practices like:
Hazardous material awareness with OSHA’s Right-to-Know standard
PPE requirements
Fire safety
Lockout-tagout procedure
Hot work procedure
Be able to read mechanical blueprints, as well as pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics
Have basic PLC knowledge
Have intermediate ability in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment
Have intermediate ability in identifying root causes and making recommendations for improved operation
Be able to operate the following equipment:
Digital or analog volt/amp/ohm meter.
Hand tools.
Power tools.
Arc welder.
Machine tools (lathe, mill, and drill press).
Have knowledge of at least three of these:
DC/AC Electricity
Basic Welding Processes
Machine Processes
PLC logic
Hydraulics/Pneumatics
Motors and Controls.
AutoCAD
Other pre-approved, job-related activity.
Be able to lift frequently 20-40 pounds and infrequently 55-65 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach
Be able to stand for an entire eight hour shift, and work with small parts on occasion
Be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes
Perform other duties as assigned
We like, but don’t require:
Associate’s degree in a technical field
Arc welder certification
Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques
