Fluke Health Solutions (FHS) is seeking a strong business and operations leader with a passion for continuous improvement. Responsible for maintaining FHS and Fortive’s record of continuous improvement by deploying a variety of tools, processes and concepts that improve business performance and by ensuring associate actions and activities support FHS goals. Oversee all Fortive Business System (FBS) activity for targeted SSO labs and service lines to ensure coordinated progress toward the completion of the personal, team and the organization's objectives. The actions and initiatives undertaken by the FBS Leader will enable SSO to meet Policy Deployment (PD) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. This role provides the opportunity for expanding one’s breadth and depth of knowledge of the business and can lead to significant growth opportunities within the organization for successful candidates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build a culture of continous improvement (FBS) across the organization by applying broad knowledge and experience working on complex projects that vary in use of Fortive Business System and Lean manufacturing tools

  • Partner with and provide leadership to Business / Operations Managers in determining and executing the continuous improvement projects and priorities worldwide

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts primarily at the second level of policy deployment

  • Ensure accurate records are established and maintained

  • Communicate progress of continuous improvement efforts

  • Administer FBS, six sigma and continuous improvement training

  • Lead and coach kaizen events and variation reduction projects

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

For success in the FHS SSO FBS Leader role, the ideal candidate must be hands-on and detail-oriented, but also able to see the big picture. The candidate must be able to apply solid thought processes to breakdown problems and complex situations into workstreams/actions that will drive progress. The candidate must be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint. Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills. Will need to be a quick study who can rapidly adapt and gain the confidence of the Fortive organization. This person will be high energy and able to handle conflict. Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.

  • Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience with process improvement, operations, quality processes, metrics and large scale project management.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or similar field; MBA preferred

  • Training and/or certification in one or more of the following: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, TPS, TBS or EBS

  • Ability to lead multiple projects, ability to influence and work successfully at all levels within an organization

  • Track record of meeting and/or exceeding metrics, drive for results, ability to work collaboratively and shift with priorities.
