Description:

The Senior SAP Analyst / Developer is responsible for developing and managing application functionality to facilitate ongoing business initiatives. The successful candidate handles the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, go-live and support) for their responsible areas, which provides many exciting opportunities for a self-motivated individual to broaden their technical skills and business acumen.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem solving skills, as this position will work closely with end users, 3 rd party support teams, technical leads and management to define and deliver business requirements. The candidate must have a proven track record in their area of expertise and a minimum of 3 - 4 years of progressive experience as an analyst / developer.

  • Responsible for solving complex business problems; design, configure / develop, test, implement and document solutions for the various SAP modules.

  • Analyze business needs, document requirements and translate needs into functional, and/or technical specifications. Perform analysis, and evaluate downstream business systems, process, and/or organizational impacts.

  • Analyze the process to be implemented, define system requirements in terms of system capabilities and configure / develop SAP accordingly.

  • Perform testing on system configuration or changes – unit, user acceptance, regression

  • Advise business partners on the upstream / downstream implications of standard or proposed SAP configuration / development changes.

  • Identify risks and issues, and seek approval on complex matters.

  • Prepare technical requirement documents for all configuration changes, program changes and reports.

  • Build strong relationships with business partners and provide subject matter expertise and production support to internal business partners on an ongoing basis.

  • Manage the outsourced level 1 support vendor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related experience.

  • 3 - 4 years of configuration experience in two of the SAP modules and sub modules - (Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Finance & Controlling)

  • Extensive experience with integration between the SD, MM, IM and FI-CO modules

  • 4 – 5 full life cycle implementations

  • Experience creating, executing and de-bugging LSMW’s

  • ABAP programming experience and ability to interpret and debug ABAP code

  • Experience managing integration between SAP and 3 rd party applications and systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Project Management experience preferred

Ability to travel domestic and internationally up to 25%
