RhinoAg is currently accepting applications to fill the full time position of 1st Shift Assembler , normal department shift schedule Monday - Friday 5:30am - 2:00pm, at its facility in Gibson City, Illinois (located 30 miles northwest of Champaign, IL and 30 miles east of Bloomington, IL).

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision, assembles various product lines using hand tools and power tools following accepted assembly procedures.

Essential Functions of the Job:

1. Follows all company and departmental safety rules including proper use of personal protective equipment

2. Performs all required quality checks to assure products conform to company standards

3. Maintains 5's standards of housekeeping in work area

4. Meets production requirements

5. Assists in set up for production

6. Communicates what tools are needed to continuously improve inefficiencies in various operations

7. Assembles components and sub-assemblies into completed product

8. Verifies dimensions and makes adjustments during the assembly process

9. Performs testing of finished product by checking operational functions

10. Disassembles, reworks and does touch up painting as required

11. Maintains documentation as needed including updating of hour by hour boards

12. Assists in training coworkers in proper work procedures and safety

13. Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):

1. Must be able to learn how to read blueprints and use measuring instruments

2. Must be mechanically inclined and have good eye/hand coordination

3. Knowledge of, and ability to use, both hand and power tools essential

4. Ability to operate an overhead crane necessary, ability to operate forklift helpful.

5. Knowledge of product's operational functions necessary

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED certificate preferred or work experience in a related occupation

2. Previous experience in a related manufacturing environment preferred

Working Conditions:

1. Must be able to work overtime, including weekends

2. Must be physically capable of standing/working 8+ hour shift(s)

3. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

4. Must be able to work in non-climate controlled areas

5. Must be able to wear required safety equipment
