Supervise a production or service department with full responsibility for results in terms of cost, quality delivery and safety.
Coordinate manpower, equipment and resources to achieve the daily production volumes.
Provides leadership, support and developmental opportunities to manufacturing personnel; establishes a strong coaching/mentoring relationship with team members.
Assign, instruct and assist employees in the performance of their jobs. Trains new employees per prescribed work methods and logs data on the training matrix.
Perform work planning and layout. Reviews operational sequencing and line balancing in order to maximize efficiency.
Completes daily reports on production status.
Maintain equipment and work areas and eliminate safety hazards.
Responsible for material movement within the factory, addresses part shortages and makes schedule changes accordingly
Maintain discipline, morale, personnel relations and resolve grievances.
Process paperwork relating to changes in employee status.
Interface with other production and production support departments.
Drives continuous improvement; develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and standards of work.
Attend meetings as required.
Perform other related duties as required.
nExperience and Qualifications:n
Three (3) + years Electronic Production experience, with a minimum of one (1) year in a
Supervisory role. Knowledge of manufacturing systems essential.
Strong computer skills; Basic Microsoft Office skills required.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and bills of material
Good problem solving and organizational skills
Understanding of LEAN/Continuous Improvement concepts, principles and practices
Strong leadership and communication skills with excellent follow-up and sense of urgency
Technical School degree or equivalent experience.
