Role Description: Working out of our Ardagh Technical Center (ATC), the Service Technician is responsible for custom machine building, debug, inspection, and repair of high-speed automation equipment.

n Key Responsibilities:





+ Assembly of new and the of rebuild old machines at Ardagh Technical Center and 8 production facilities throughout the US.



+ Build and troubleshoot automated assembly machines, sub-assembly components from engineering drawings and specifications.



+ Disassembly machine components, evaluate the condition for wear and damage, reassembly back using new or reconditioned parts.



+ Assemble small machine subassemblies or machine tooling for spare part program.



+ Read schematics, prints and exploded views of machinery and equipment to perform required service.



+ Interpret and follow procedural manuals, manufacturer's guides and operation instruction for can making equipment.



+ Test parts and subassemblies by using templates or using appropriate gauges and instruments.



+ Recommend process improvements for equipment design and assembly processes.



+ Operate assembly shop power tools and other equipment during machine build or overhauls.



+ Ability to work in a team environment during day and nights shift based on production schedule requirements.

n Requirements:





+ High School Diploma or GED



+ A minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience .



+ Must be willing to travel up to 30 %.



+ Must pass a Ramsay Mechanical Aptitude test.



+ Strong mechanical aptitude.



+ Ability to work 8, 10, 12-hour shifts.



+ The ability to effectively communicate and meet deadlines



+ Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
