OfficeTeam is hiring Logistics Clerks, seeking candidates who can work with data and have great customer service skills. There is a Logistics Clerk opportunity for Elgin, Illinois area candidates who want to coordinate shipments, oversee customer orders, coordinate with vendors, and arrange shipments. Apply immediately! This long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity is based in the Elgin, Illinois area.

Major responsibilities

• Corroborate freight bills and process bills of lading

• Perform various administrative duties

• Screen, track, and foster dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements

• Update and collaborate with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes

• Abide by guidelines for approving carriers

• Follow-up with carriers, as necessary

Requirements

• This job requires experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions

• 2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics

• Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

• Skills that allow for the completion of general office work, the operation of basic office equipment, and the routing of incoming materials to the proper individuals

• Customer service oriented communication skills

• Proficiency in retail

• Order Picking experience preferred

• Warehouse Duties experience desired
