Function: Manufacturing Engineering

Title: Part-Time Student-Maintenance Engineering-East Moline IL - 70282

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Engineering Part-Time Student, you will perform tasks and assist in the development of projects that improve the Maintenance organization’s mission to support our manufacturing operations through technical expertise, increased uptime and decreased cost of ownership. Tasks will include:

  • Management of data within our computerized maintenance management software (SAP)

  • Collaboration with other maintenance and production team members (e.g. engineers, supervisors, skilled trades, operators, etc.) for Projects and Business Improvement efforts

  • Assist with the development of a skilled trades training certification program

  • Gather and organize Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) documentation (spare parts, guides, etc..)

  • Develop technical troubleshooting skills by working alongside skilled trades and maintenance engineers

  • Plan and schedule skilled trade projects and repair work

What It Takes

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Egineering, Technology, or Manufacturing; others may apply

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university

  • Graduation date of May 2022 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

  • 16-20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
