The Global Sourcing Specialist has strategic responsibility of forming supplier relationships to support and negotiate the cost of goods sold across multiple product categories across suppliers globally. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the coordination and communication with cross functional departments for supplier related issues and leading performance discussions on an annual cadence. Additionally, you will also support the sourcing manager and director in finding, developing, and managing our overall supplier base. This position can be based out of our Downers Grove, IL or Milwaukee, WI offices.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Establish relationships with national brand suppliers

  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview and evaluate the company to determine product availability and terms of sales including feedback on supplier performance (field support, supply chain performance, product information, customer service, etc.)

  • Create preferred vendor lists through quality of product, pricing, and relationships

  • Manage communication platform between vendors and location

  • Gather RFQ’s from potential suppliers

  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures

  • Analyze data gathered from internal and external sources to assist in the vendor selection process

  • Manage supplier base while proactively seeking and developing new suppliers that strategically fit within EIS overall strategic plan


  • BS degree in supply chain, operations research, or engineering required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supply chain sourcing role required; would consider a new college graduate with internships

  • Knowledge of sourcing and supply chain concepts required

  • Understanding of contracts, compliance, and government laws (domestic/international) relating to supply chain or sourcing functions required

  • Ability to collaborate with different functions, focus on achieving practical business impact and work at both working team and executive levels a must

  • Project management and negotiation skills required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills essential

  • Ability to travel up to 20 - 30% of the time, including internationally, with extended trips to Mexico, Vietnam, China, and South East Asia
