As a n Associate Quality Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for reviewing business requirements, technical specifications and developing a test plan. Apart from creating detailed test cases and executing them, you will also be responsible for logging any defects and ensuring that they are retested when developers implement the fixes. You will need to ensure risk mitigation, prioritization and successful execution of all testing deliverables meeting all the objectives so that the solution works as expected. You should also have exposure to a test automation tool, be able to create and execute automated test scripts and debug any issues in those automated scripts. You will be involved in trouble shooting and addressing test failures in various test environments as you collaborate with highly talented team of skilled developers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review/Analyze business requirements and functional specifications for completeness and define test plans and test cases

  • Work with business and technology leads to identify the appropriate data for testing, and prepare that data for the test cases

  • Interface with Product Management and Business teams to ensure requirements compliance, determine release readiness, and triage defects discovered in the field.

  • Ensure the quality of the solution by participating in all phases of the development lifecycle

  • Perform Functional, Integration and Regression testing.

  • Assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving problems

  • Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in product design

  • Document test procedures and findings

  • Reconcile test results from different tests and different groups

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Create and execute automated test scripts following automation process

  • Provide requested weekly/bi-weekly/monthly reports and regular updates on Projects

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Software Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 1+ years of hands on software engineering testing experience using QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution

  • Exposure to QA Automated tools such as QTP or Selenium

  • Experience testing Web and Client Server base applications

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience writing SQL queries

  • Good knowledge of Software Development and Testing Life Cycle

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Self-motivation and a proven ability to deliver projects or any assignments

  • Ability to estimate scope, break up problems into deliverable chunks, and estimate accurate timelines

  • Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance and direction

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams

  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical customers

Distinguishing factors:

  • Working Experience in QA automation tools such as QTP, Selenium

  • Basic Understanding of Performance Testing Tools such as Load Runner

  • Experience working with tools such as Quality Center

  • Exposure to White box testing

  • Experience or Understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript

  • Experience or understanding of object-oriented languages like C, C#, or Java

  • Knowledge of working on Windows Applications.
