Senior Principal UI Developer
Take the lead on UI development, actively engaging with project teams to deliver high-quality features on schedule. Support our agile development process with sufficient documentation, willingness to accept change, a customer focus, constant communication, and above all, technical excellence.
Lead the UI development effort for projects.
Analyze software requirements and solutions.
Collaborate with the project team to refine functional specs.
Create technical designs and robust code to follow UX designs and functional specs.
Adhere to best practices and security requirements. Contribute to these standards whenever possible.
Be an active participant on project teams and on the UI team, contributing your best ideas and efforts.
Be a UI technology subject matter expert, actively sharing knowledge and techniques.
Work is non-routine and very complex. This position requires advanced technical skills and a high level of professionalism.
Specific required skills include:
Computer science or related degree, or equivalent experience.
7 years of hands-on experience developing web applications.
Understanding of web application security, accessibility, front-end performance, differences in platform/browser script execution and rendering.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
