Oracle Payroll Product Manager - Legislative Specialist in Deerfield, Illinois
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

_Payroll Product Manager - Legislative Specialist_
We are currently looking for a Payroll Product Manager - Legislative Specialist for our growing team working on the Oracle NetSuite solution. In this position,you will work closely with the product management team, business stakeholders, and support to drive the development and maintenance of our US Payroll solution. This role will be responsible for the statutory compliance of the Oracle NetSuite Payroll solution for the United States of America and, as a result, you will need to be familiar with existing U.S payroll legislation and how to effectively research and write requirements for ongoing Federal, State and local jurisdictional updates.
This role will primarily report into the Oracle HCM Cloud Development, Payroll & Localization team however will also have a dotted line reporting structure to the Oracle NetSuite HCM Product Management organization.

The Oracle NetSuite Payroll solution is used by a large number of organizations in the U.S. Our customers rely on these products to pay thousands of employees on time and without issues. They trust Oracle NetSuite to keep these products compliant with legislative and business requirements. The vacancy we have is for a Payroll Product Manager - Legislative Specialist who will support the NetSuite U.S. payroll product by:
Monitoring legislative changes that impact U.S payroll
Keeping stakeholders and customers up to date on progress and changes as needed
Keeping stakeholders apprised of any potential forthcoming legislative changes that may impact the future roadmap or future sprint planning of the Oracle NetSuite Payroll solution;
Gathering legislative requirements and create requirements documentation;
Confirming requirements with authorities and customers if necessary;
Working with QA to provide test cases if necessary and ensure proper testing of the Oracle NetSuite Payroll solution;
Working with Product Management and Support to review product documentation and training materials;
Supporting the rollout of new functionality;
Working with Product Management and Support to resolve legislative bugs and issues;
Working on special legislative projects as assigned
Top 3 skill sets in the ideal candidate:
Excellent knowledge of U.S. statutory payroll processing and reporting requirements;
Experience with processing U.S. payrolls;
Analytical skills to translate complex statutory requirements into clearly articulated software requirements.
In addition, membership with the American Payroll Association (APA) is desired.
Anywhere in the United States of America however there is a need to work Eastern/Central time zone hours
