Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine materials purchases.
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine needed materials purchases. Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., just in time purchases, use of EOQ - economic order quantities). Resolves discrepancies. Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized. Develops specifications for new contract orders. Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Material Program Manager (MPM) team works directly with development/design engineering on early material procurement strategies to support Eng Proto Builds. We ensure material availability for critical production ramp shipments are supported in line with product team requirements.
10 years related experience in materials management, material scheduling, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Strong analytical capabilities, including ability to optimize delivery costs and inventory levels
Proficiency with Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand
Ability to present material status effectively in weekly program/executive meetings
Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude
Self-motivated and resourceful
Job Nice to Haves:
BS/BA in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or other related field. MS/MA strongly preferred
Oracle Enterprise systems experience and Inventory Management experience
Mandarin speaking a plus
