Packer

This is an entry level position. This position will learn multiple bakery production jobs, many of which support machine operator positions. Responsibilities include the consistent production of a high quality product in a baking facility while incorporating safety and sanitation standards. This position is committed to ensuring the best quality products excellent customer service by following good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities: Performing various entry-level positions including: Loading and unloading pans from production line. Loading and unloading oven and/or proof box. Dumping waste buckets. Assisting with other positions as assigned by supervisor. Filling in for absent positions in production or packaging areas. Taking appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system. Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring. Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan, the Food Quality Plan, and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rd party audits. Performing any and all other duties as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 12 hours at one time

• working up to 20 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends
