Labelmaster is an established and growing company that takes the complexity out of shipping Dangerous Goods and helps to make the world a safer place. We are looking for an Warehouse Supervisor to teach, train, develop, recognize and reward our growing and dynamic team.
- This position is hands-on leading by example and responsible for providing direction and support to warehouse employees while effectively collaborating with the Warehouse Leadership. Oversee 2nd shift daily warehouse functions as a Floor Leader and manage staffing ensuring work standards are met for compliance and overall customer experience. Develop, coach and train team members to achieve desired results while creating an environment where everyone can scceed.
Essential Functions
Distribute orders to all Warehouse divisions to ensure efficient work flow
Monitor operations in all divisions of Warehouse
Teach, Train, Develop, Recognize and Reward Associates
Encourage and monitor employee productivity metrics
Assist with development of SOP’s and implementation
Receive in all products from manufacturing
Work in any division needing help to ensure all orders go out
Participate in disciplinary action
Participate in employee evaluations
Proven track record for gaining results and giving recognition
Maintain maintenance checks for forklifts and order pickers assigned to the warehouse
Complete required quality inspections
Dependability
Being physically present at the worksite
ISO program compliance & support
Take responsibility for the safety of self and others at all time.
Take responsibility to eliminate accidents, injuries & hazards at all times
Observe & act in accordance with all applicable laws & regulations & company policie
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Knowledge/understanding of transportation industry
Ability to be flexible in finding solutions in changing environment preferred
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to motivate Associates preferred
Knowledge of all functions of Warehouse
Ability to follow/give written & verbal instructions/directions
Ability to work independently
Ability to read & interpret documents
Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to work overtime when needed
Good communication skills
High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
Valid Drivers License preferred
ALC Forklift Certification
Material picking & packing experience preferred
Receiving experience preferred
Inventory experience preferred
MS office skills
Good keyboarding skills
Navision
